Lara Leon

Lara Leon Counsellor Bournemouth

Lara is an experienced counsellor and member of the BACP. She also has a psychology degree and is currently doing her Masters in Existential Psychotherapy at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling in London.

Lara sees counselling as a great source of relief and comfort to help us through the tough times. She believes that we emerge calmer, more confident and more resilient through counselling. Talking to someone who understands, listens and does not judge is very powerful and can result in change on a huge scale.

Lara will support and help her clients through the exploration of their thoughts and concerns and will provide a calm, safe and caring environment in which to do so. Her experience of working with a variety of age groups from school children to the retired means that she can adapt to the needs of her clients. She has worked in several counselling agencies and therefore have experience of the many different issues that cause anxiety.

Lara discovered very young that we are all very unique and that we react differently to the things that life throws at us. Her belief is that we can all benefit from having someone to talk to and she realised early on that she wanted to be able to offer the support that she had found so helpful in her own life.

She has a particular interest in family relationships. Adoption is close to her heart both personally and professionally and she works both with those who adopt and who are adopted.
