Gail Longhurst

 Gail Longhurst Counsellor Bournemouth

Gail is an accredited member of the BACP and a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, which simply means that she works with a variety of techniques, depending on my client’s needs, and these techniques are held within a structured framework.

Her focus is to build a strong relationship with her clients to support and contain them through the challenges of the counselling work they choose to do.

She has worked as a counsellor and supervisor for many years with clients who have been bereaved. Her clients have stretched across the age ranges and with all types of loss. She has also worked alongside clients struggling to cope with loved ones who were terminally ill.

She has extensive experience working with survivors of abuse and domestic violence. This includes working with feelings around power and control, the loss of childhood; strong feelings of guilt and shame, low self-esteem and so much more. She has also worked with the challenging field of honour crime.

Gail accepts referrals from individuals and also companies. Her corporate clients include HM Armed Forces, the Police and Social Services.

She is an experienced Clinical Supervisor for a Dorset based charity.
